Why the weight sits on your forehead
Most weighted masks put their filling right over your eyes. This one doesn't.
The glass beads are stitched into sections across your forehead and temples, the part of your face that carries tension all day. The padding over your eyes is soft and unweighted, so there's no pressure on your eyelids.

What 500g feels like
Rest your palm across your forehead. An adult hand weighs roughly 400–500g — that's about what the whole mask weighs.
Except the mask spreads it wider, and part of it rests on the pillow and beside your head, so you feel less than the full 500g on your forehead.
Or try this: fold a bath towel lengthwise and lay it across your forehead. A folded towel weighs about the same and covers a similar area. That gentle, draped pressure is close to what the mask feels like after a few minutes.
